This is an active trip. Our tour group covers a lot of ground each day, and we spend two to three hours on our feet during tours. The pace is fast. We have many early mornings and long bus rides necessary to cover the territory. Some of our tours require walking over uneven surfaces or up and down steep slopes or steps. Enjoy the onboard services and hospitality of the airline crew as you cross the international dateline towards the Asian continent.

Day 3 Chengdu
Welcome to Chengdu, China, the panda's hometown! Upon your arrival and immigration clearance early in the morning, our tour representative will meet you outside the baggage claim exit and guide you to the comforts of our transfer vehicle that will bring you to the Kuanzhai Alley to explore  the most popular commercial streets on your own pace and experience the life of old Chengdu and enjoy the ancient style courtyards, where you can also enjoy the local traditional food and street snacks. Travelers may enjoy the local hot pot at own expense to experience the Chengdu taste. In the afternoon, your will be transferred to the hotel for check-in. The rest day will be at leisure to rest and  refresh.

Optional Program: Spicy Hotpot experience at local restaurant at $45 per person.
Sichuan hotpot dates back to the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) when it was created in a small town on the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. Local boatmen cooked a kind of spicy soup with vegetables, meat and hot peppers to help them in the humid, cold weather. Over hundreds of years, hotpot evolved to become a major Sichuan cuisine.The dipping sauces are usually made of sesame oil with garlic and green onion. People can put any meat and vegetables including potato, lotus root and tofu into the pot.

Day 4 Chengdu
You can explore the exciting capital city of Sichuang-Chengdu on your own, or you may take our optional program to deeply explore the historical city.

Optional Tour 1:Visting Leshan Giant Buddha with Cruise Ride at $69 per person.
Leshan Giant Buddha, the largest sitting Buddha in the world, which has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1996. Leshan Giant Buddha is 71 meters high, 18 meters higher than the second largest stone Buddha of Bamyan in Afghanistan.
With wonderful scene of the Leshan Giant Buddha, numerous interest places and contiguous scenic spots, it is just like a picture scroll with too many beautiful things. No matter whether you climb up the mountain for sightseeing or look around by water, it is sure that you must feast your eyes on the beauty, relaxed and happy and reluctant to leave. Take a cruise for an alternative perspective of the grand Buddha(For dry season, alternatively, cruise trip will be switched to hiking). 

Optional Tour 2: Huanglongxi Ancient Town with Special lunch &A Cup of Tea at $69 per person.
Huanglongxi Ancient Town is greatly admired by visitors for its beautiful natural scenery and ancientChinese culture.Walking through the street, visitors will see many historical civilian residences of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. While traveling along the river, one can have a view of the stilt houses, which fully represent the piledwelling culture of Shu people. Six ancient trees with histories of more than 800 years cast glamour overthe old town.

Moreover, due to its beautiful scenery and ancient architecture, Huanglongxi Ancient Town is an ideal place to make costume films. Typical style of the Ancient Town in Western Town. the ancient arch, ancient temples, ancient buildings and ancient tree houses, ancient cliff seamless, antique, and modern cities in sharp contrast. More than one hundred films and TV plays have been produced in the town so far.

Day 5 Chengdu
Today is at leisure to relax, rejuvenate and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. or Join our optional tour to visit the adorable national treasure- the giant panda!

Optional Tour 1: Visiting Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding at $45 per person.
Sichuan is known for being home to giant pandas in the world, Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding is one of the sight to help with research and breeding of these incredible mammals. It is also an
 optimal place to see the Giant Panda up close and not behind bars at a zoo. Here you’ll find it is a delightful experience to watch these cute pandas in their large open air enclosures.

Then visit the People' park to experience the local people' leisure life and also experience the local tea culture.

Optional Tour 2: Sichuan Opera cultural show
at $59 per person.
Sichuan Opera has a history spanning 300 years and your evening's entertainment celebrates the music, voice, dance and humor of the region.
The show begins with the classic 'Nightmare of Shi Huaiyu,' which is part ghost story and part love song, featuring famous characters from Chinese fiction. Next the performance features two soloists on traditional Chinese instruments. First is the Ehru, the Chinese violin with a haunting sound that you'll never forget. Later on in the opera, a solo will be performed on the Guqin, the Chinese zither. The Guqin is associated with wisdom and nobleness and is used for only the most traditional and sentimental music. Between the two soloists will be the 'Singing of Cuckoo,' performed in classic Sichuan surd singing style. Surd singing is one of the most difficult techniques in all Chinese music, and the Cuckoo is one of the best-known folk songs among Sichuan people. The show's finale will be the joyous 'Wild Dance of Golden Snake.' This traditional folk music is full of humor, merriment, and the personality of the West Shu country people who perform the dance.

Day 6 Chengdu-Xian
 Enjoy your day at leisure until transfer to Airport to take a flight to Xian in the evening. Xian, the capital of northwestern Shaanxi Province in the afternoon, and upon arrival at the airport of the ancient city, our local guide will meet and greet you to escort you to the hospitality of your next hotel accommodation to rest for the day.

Day 7 Xi'an
Take an orientation ride around the city and visit the impressive city monument, the Xi'an City Wall which is also one of the largest and oldest conserved Chinese fortifications in the country. The rectangular-shaped Xi'an Wall was rebuilt in the 14th century over the previous palace wall of the Tang Dynasty (618 to 907 A.D.) is now 39 feet high, between 39 and 46 feet wide at the top, and encloses an area of 5.4 square miles. Described by Michelle Obama as "a wall that has withstood war and famine and the rise and fall of dynasties" during the Obamas' visit in 2014, City Wall now give visitors a majestic view of the ancient city caught in between the old and the seemingly new forever expanding city with a changing skyline in its perimeter. You can stroll atop the spacious wall and peek into the uniquely-styled watchtowers and imposing gates underneath. The rest of the day will be at your leisure or you can participate in the wonderful optional excursion to visit the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum in the day, and the optional Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show in the evening


Optional Tour 1: Visit the Terracotta Warrior and Horses Museum with lunch at $89 per person.
Come marvel at the undisputed Eighth Wonder of the World – the live archeological site at the Terracotta Warrior and Horses Museum in Xi'an.  The exposed Terracotta Army and Horses are touted to be only a small contingent in the necropolis that was accidentally discovered by farmers in 1974 while digging for well water. Since then, the site has been converted into a working museum for archaeologists consisting of several buildings protecting the live-size terracotta human and horse figurines that were supposed to safeguard the First Emperor of a unified China in his afterlife more than 2,500 years ago. Seize the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to visit the three excavation pits and see the breathtaking scale of an ancient empire. After spending your time exploring the museum, you will be routed to visit a terracotta replication factory to look at the modern production process of these terracotta soldiers.

Optional Tour 2: Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show at $50 per person.
You can now enjoy the sights, sounds, music, and dance of imperial court entertainment during the heights of Chinese civilization in the Tang Dynasty (618 to 907 A.D.) at this stage performance. The multi-talented professional performers and dancers will amaze the audience with a great series of repertoire that includes performances with ancient musical instruments, Chinese dances, songs, grandeur costumes and pageantry rarely seen today.

Day 8 Xi'an-Beijing
After breakfast, take a bullet train from Xi'an to Beijing. The rest day will be at your own leisure or you can join our optional tours.

Optional Tour : Peking Duck Dinner Banquet with wine served at $40 per person. Enjoy this famous culinary dish that had been served on the imperial court menu and aptly named where it had originated – the Peking (Beijing) Duck meal is characterized by servings of deliciously roasted slices of duck skins that you will wrap with steamed rice flour pancakes together with your choice of spring onion stalks and cucumber strips dosed with sweet bean sauce. Serving with a glass of wine will make this unique culinary experience even more exquisite.

Day 9 Beijing
At your leisure to accustom yourself to explore the capital city of China on your own, or join us for these optional tour programs:


Optional Tour 1: Tiananmen Square and The Forbidden City Tour with Lunch at $70 per person.
Get ready to be awed by the largest public square in the world and see the locals stroll and play in Tiananmen Square. Then walk to the legendary Forbidden City nearby – the palace complex of the Ming and Qing dynasties from 1420 to 1912 where Chinese emperors and their household once ruled as the power and political center. This huge palace ground covers over 180 acres in the center of Beijing city and has been touted as a UNESCO World Heritage Site with the largest collection of ancient wooden structures in the world. Feel free to roam from one end of the complex peeking into the once-home of the generations of emperors and concubines, and then exit on the other side of this vast magnificent compound. Lunch will be hosted at a local restaurant.

Optional Tour 2: Hutong Rickshaw Tour at $35 per person.
In the afternoon, take the opportunity to join an optional tour of Beijing’s 700 year old Hutongs (narrow lanes) area by old fashioned pedicab. You will also visit a local family living in a courtyard style home to experience the local customs. The optional tour also includes a visit to Shichahai, a historic scenic area consisting of three lakes (Qianhai, meaning Front Sea; Houhai, meaning Back Sea and Xihai, meaning West Sea), surrounding places of historic interest and scenic beauty and remnants of old-style hutong and courtyard local residences. You can still ride in these rickshaws that used to be a common mode of transportation in Beijing in the old days during your tour through narrow alleyways that connect between the high walls of traditional courtyard residences that are still being preserved under the encroaching skyline of the modern skyscrapers.

Day 10 Beijing
After breakfast, as you travel to the Great Wall this morning, stop at a Jade Museum to learn the history of Jade. In Chinese, jade is pronounced as "Yu" and has  a history of at least four thousand years in China. Observe skilled artisans at work as they create their intricate designs. Then See the spectacular man-made structure on Earth that has been recorded as a UNESCO World Heritage Site without contest – the Great Wall of China is the longest man-made structure on the planet-spanning over 13,171 miles. Built with the aim to be a physical barrier against the nomadic enemies from the north, the many Great Walls that have been constructed by successive emperors of different feudal empires were finally linked together to become what it stands today. Hike along the Great Wall at JuYongGuan Pass.

Optional Tour: Entertainment for the night for your purchase will be the Golden Mask Dynasty Show at $55per person.
An entertainment galore with over 200 performers of Chinese dances, acrobatics, costumes, and lighting, acoustics, and effects.

Day 11 Beijing -Chengdu-Home
After breakfast, make a stop at ‘Tongrentang’ to learn more about traditional Chinese medicine. Then enjoy shopping in Hongqiao Market or you can join the optional tour.


Optional Tour: Temple of Heaven $35 per person.
Visit the Temple of Heaven a spectacular imperial complex of religious buildings located in the southeastern part of Beijing which is also a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. Used by emperors of the last two Chinese dynasties as a sacred temple to pray for a good harvest during annual ceremonies, it houses a magnificent wooden circular building built on three layers of marble stone base completely void of any nail. You can also be amazed by the Echo Wall there that can transmit sounds over large distances from one end of the perimeter to the other.

In the afternoon, Depart for flight to Chengdu to fly back home. End  this wonderful journey.

Peking Duck Dinner, Beijing's most delicious food, is a must to experience when you come to Beijing. You will also taste the local red wine while enjoying the delicious Peking Duck Dinner. The culinary of Peking duck can be dated back to the Yuan dynasty when it was a dish of imperial food. Peking Duck is prepared from specially-bred Beijing crammed duck with a unique roasting process which gives it a perfect combination of color, aroma and taste, a crisp thin skin and a mouth-melting and delicious flavor. The meat is eaten with scallion, cucumber and sweet bean sauce with pancakes rolled around the fillings. Sometimes pickled radish is also inside, and other sauces can be used.
