Depart USA to China, enjoy delicious meals, drinks, and in-flight entertainment for our journey.
D2. Beijing
The flight arrives at Beijing, we are met by our tour guide and to be transferred to our Luxury Hotel.
D3. Beijing (AB, L, SD)
Beijing is the capital of China, and the host city for the 2008 Olympics. We embark for a full day tour, begins at Tian An Men Square, the largest public square in the world, its monuments and buildings situated around the square’s perimeter. Then we visit the Forbidden City and Summer Palace, enjoy a walk along Lake Kunming. Dinner is served at a fabulous Peking Duck Banquet.
D4. Beijing (AB, L, D)
The Great Wall of China is one of the seven great man-made wonders of the world and definitely the focal point of China. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant followed by a visit to the historic Hutong and Alley of Beijing old town, take in the sights and sounds of the Beijing of olden times. Enjoy the Traditional Chinese Kung-fu Show tonight.
D5. Beijing/Xian (AB, IM, SD)
Visit the Temple of Heaven, where the Emperor prayed for harvest in Ming and Qin dynasty. Later in the day, we board a flight to Xian, the starting point of the historic Silk Road. We drive by the Ancient City Wall, and stop to visit the Bell Tower. For dinner, we enjoy an Imperial Dumpling Banquet.
D6. Xian (AB, L, D)
Xian was the former capital of China and enjoys a 5000 year old history. In 221 BC, Qin Shi Huang unified China and became its first emperor. When he died, an entire Terra Cotta Army was constructed and buried with him. It was uncovered serendipitously in 1974 by farmers, and then became one of the century’s great archeological discoveries. Enjoy the world famous Tang Dynasty Stage Show after dinner.
D7. Xian/Guilin (AB, L, D)
Finish up our tour in Xian with a visit to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Depart Xian for Guilin by air, visit the Reed Flute Cave upon arrival, and enjoy a local Folk Dance Show after dinner.
D8. Guilin/Yangshuo (AB, L, D)
The highlight of today is a leisurely 4-hour cruise down the Li River, passing through valleys, bamboo groves and rice fields. Lunch will be served on board. The rest of the day is at leisure on your own. Ride a bicycle or walk to the countryside and experience the real Chinese Farmer's life.
D9. Yangshuo/Guilin/Shanghai/Suzhou (AB, L, D)
We finish up the tour in Guilin by visiting the Solitary Beauty Peak, which offers a panoramic view of the city. Take a 2-hours flight to Shanghai, transfer to Suzhou which is called ‘Venice of the East'. Visit the Lingering Garden, the Grand Canal with boat ride, and Suzhou Silk Spinning Factory.
D10. Suzhou/Tongli/Nanjing (AB, L, SD)
Today we take motor coach to Tongli, where is lined with Ming style homes and storefronts, it is a highly praised historical site in which we will take an exciting ride on a gondola and experience the charm of the waterways. We drive to Nanjing afterwards, Nanjing served as the capital of six dynasties in China, visit Dr. Sun Yat-Sen's Mausoleum and the remains of the Ming City Wall, walk along Confucius's Temple night market after a special Nanjing Snack Dinner.
D11. Nanjing/Yangzhou/Wuxi (AB, L, SD)
The 2500-year-old Yangzhou City is known for its numerous pavilions and delicate Huayang cuisine, visit the Slender West Lake and Ge Garden. Take motor coach to Wuxi in the afternoon. For dinner, we enjoy some Wuxi Spare Ribs.
D12. Wuxi/Hangzhou (AB, L, D)
Wuxi is also one of the oldest cities in China with a history of more than 3000 years, visit the Turtle Head Peninsula Park, where we can enjoy the beauty of the Tai Lake, the third largest fresh water lake in China. Stop at the Freshwater Pearl Farm before leaving for Hangzhou.
D13. Hangzhou/Shanghai (AB, L, D)
Hangzhou is one of the seven capitals of ancient China, known for its tea products. Take small boat on the west lake, revealing the ethereal beauty of Hangzhou’s willow draped islands. Then visit Six Harmony Pagoda, which was built about 1000 years ago in Song dynasty. Take motor coach back to Shanghai in late afternoon, Hop aboard a cruise of the Huangpu River, taking in the magnificent twinkling night scenery of Shanghai. In the evening, we attend a Chinese Acrobatic Show.
D14. Shanghai (AB, SL)
The full day city tour includes a visit to Yu Garden, a classical Ming garden built by a wealthy businessman for his parents as an act of filial piety. Enjoy a traditional Mongolian BBQ Buffet lunch. Take in the local scenery at bustling shopping district Nanjing Road and travel along the famous Bund, a five-block long riverfront promenade containing many of Shanghai's banks and trading houses. Today's dinner is on your side.
D15. Shanghai/USA (AB)
We are transferred to the airport for our flight back to the States, or begin the optional Post-Trip Extension to Hong Kong or other favorite destinations.
