Yangtze River Cruise Deluxe Tour 14 Days

D1. Hometown/Beijing
Depart Hometown to China, enjoy delicious meals, drinks, and in-flight entertainment for our journey.
Day 2. Beijing
The flight arrives at Beijing, we are met by our tour guide and to be transferred to our Luxury Hotel.
D3. Beijing (AB, L, SD)
Beijing is the capital of China, and the host city for the 2008 Olympics. We embark for a full day tour, begins at Tian An Men Square, the largest public square in the world, its monuments and buildings situated around the square's perimeter. Then we visit the Forbidden City and Summer Palace, enjoy a walk along Lake Kunming. Dinner is served at a fabulous Peking Duck Banquet.
D4. Beijing (AB, L, D)
The Great Wall of China is one of the seven great man-made wonders of the world and definitely the focal point of China . Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant followed by a visit to the historic Hutong and Alley of Beijing old town, take in the sights and sounds of the Beijing of olden times. Enjoy the Traditional Chinese Kungfu Show tonight.
D5, Beijing (AB)
Today is on your own, we will provide hotel and breakfasts only, walk around this beautiful ancient city in your own pace.
D6. Beijing/Xian (AB, IM , SD )
Visit the Temple of Heaven , where the Emperor prayed for harvest in Ming and Qing dynasty. Later in the day, we board a flight to Xian, the starting point of the historic Silk Road. We drive by the Ancient City Wall, and stop to visit the Bell Tower. For dinner, we enjoy an Imperial Dumpling Banquet.
D7. Xian (AB, L, D)
Xian was the former capital of China and enjoys a 5000 year old history. In 221 BC, Qin Shi Huang unified China and became its first emperor. When he died, an entire Terra Cotta Army was constructed and buried with him. It was uncovered serendipitously in 1974 by farmers, and then became one of the century's great archeological discoveries. Enjoy the world famous Tang Dynasty Stage Show after dinner.
D8. Xian/Chongqing/China Regal     (AB, L, D)
Finish up our tour in Xian with a visit to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Depart Xian for Chongqing by air. Chongqing is the birthplace of Ba and Yu culture with the history of 3000 years. Take the city tour upon arrival. After the hot pot dinner board the 5 star deluxe Yangtze River cruisers and start your venture tour on the Yangtze River. With a rich Chinese cultural heritage of thousands of years, the Three Gorges is not only a picturesque natural gallery, but also a spectacular treasure house.
D9. China Regal (AB, L, D)
The cruiser sails downstream. Shore excursion to Fengdu Ghost City or New City for Relocates. Fengdu Ghost City is located on the north bank of the Yangtze. A series of temples have been built here, each representing different aspects of hell according to Taoist belief. The temples are dominated by statues, frescos and carvings of the ghosts and devils who are believed to govern Taoist hell. Locals gather here to pray for a good afterlife and re-incarnation in their next life.
D10, China Regal (AB, L, D)
Today the cruiser will sail into the Qutang Gorge and Wu Gorge. Although Qutang Gorge is the smallest among the Three Gorges, it is actually the most powerful one and the water here flows most rapidly at this spot. The Wu Gorge boasts the most immediately beautiful and spectacular scenery of the Three Gorges. Flanking the river is a series of green mountains with precipices and peaks where the water zigzags forward and gives way to some attractive scenery. Transfer to smaller boats to see the Shennongxi Stream. Then the cruiser will pass Badong, Zigui, and sail into the Xiling Gorge, which is renowned for being extremely perilous and is the longest one of the Three Gorges. The water is full of turbulent currents and whirlpools and dangerous shoals. The cruiser will pass the ship-lock of the Three Gorges Dam, and arrive at Sandouping in the evening.
D11. China Regal (AB, L, D)
Shore excursion to visit the Three Gorges Dam, the largest project of China in the morning. Then the cruiser will pass the ship-lock of the Gezhou Dam at noon.
D12. Wuhan/Shanghai (AB, L, D)
The cruiser arrives the destination Wuhan at noon. Visit the Yellow Crane Pavilion, you will have a bird's eye view of Wuhan City and the Yangtze River. Fly to Shanghai in late afternoon. visit Shanghai Museum, see the ancient Chinese art, furniture and jade. In the evening, we attend a Chinese Acrobatic Show.
D13. Shanghai (AB, SL)
The full day city tour includes a visit to Yu Garden, a classical Ming garden built by a wealthy businessman for his parents as an act of filial piety. Enjoy a traditional Mongolian BBQ Buffet lunch. Visit Children's palace, take in the local scenery at bustling shopping district Nanjing Road and travel along the famous Bund, a five-block long riverfront promenade containing many of Shanghai's banks and trading houses. Hop aboard a cruise of the Huangpu River, taking in the magnificent twinkling night scenery of Shanghai. Today's dinner is on your side.
D14. Shanghai/Hometown (AB)
We are transferred to the airport for our flight back to Hometown, or begin the optional Post-Trip Extension.
