Tour Itinerary

Day 1. Hometown/Beijing (In-flight Meals)
Depart home towards China while enjoying delicious meals, drinks, and in-flight entertainment during our journey.

Day 2. Beijing (IM)
Upon arriving at Beijing, we are met by our tour guide to be transferred to our hotel, relax and enjoy the evening.

Beijing Capital International Aiport (PEK)

Day 3. Beijing (American Breakfast, Lunch, Special Dinner)
Beijing is the capital city of China, with population of 17.4 million. We embark for a full day tour which begins at the Tian An Men Square (Tian An Men), noted as the largest public square in the world with its monuments and buildings situated around the square's perimeter. Thereafter we will visit the Forbidden City (Gu Gong) and Summer Palace (Yi He Yuan) whilst enjoying a walk along Lake Kunming. You will take Peking Duck as dinner tonight.

Tian An Men Square (Tian An Men)

Day 4. Beijing (AB)
Explore Beijing on your own, or join our 6-hour-optional-tour to the Great Wall (Chang Cheng) and Old Hutong (cost $69 per person, includes lunch). We will hike along the Juyongguan Pass of the Great Wall, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant followed by a visit to the historic Hutong and Alley (Hu Tong) of Beijing old town.

Day 5. Beijing (AB)
Enjoy your day at leisure to explore Beijing on your own.

Day 6. Beijing/Shanghai (AB)
Visit the Temple of Heaven (Tian Tan), where the Emperors of Ming and Qing dynasties performed annual ceremonies of prayer to heaven for good harvest. It is also inscribed in UNESCO World Heritage list in 1998. You will see gardens and pavilions where citizens of Beijing practice their daily ritual of Tai Chi dance, classical music instruments, songs and dance, and a game of Chinese chess. and then transfer for airport for your flight to Shanghai, upon arrival, enjoy the rest of the day on your own.

Temple of Heaven (Tian Tan)

Day 7. Shanghai (AB, L)
Travel along the famous Bund (Wai Tan), a five-block long riverfront promenade containing many of Shanghai's banks and trading houses, and Shanghai Old Street (Cheng Huang Miao). Spend the rest of the day at the famous shopping center Nanjing Road (Nan Jing Lu) and People’s Square (Ren Min Guang Chang). Tonight’s optional Huangpu River Night Cruise costs $25 per person.

The Bund (Wai Tan)

Day 8, Shanghai (AB)
Enjoy your day at leisure to explore Shanghai on your own.

Day 9. Shanghai/Hometown (AB)
We are transferred to the airport for our flight back home, or will begin the optional Post-Trip Extension.
