Is This Trip Right for You?

This is an active trip. Our tour group covers a lot of ground each day, and we spend two to three hours on our feet during tours. The pace is fast. We have many early mornings and long bus rides necessary to cover the territory. Some of our tours require walking over uneven surfaces or up and down steep slopes or steps. Depart for Guangzhou, China. Take a flight to Guangzhou, China, and start your 2024 trip to beautiful China!

Day 2 Arrive in Guangzhou, China
Upon arrival in Guangzhou, our tour representative will meet you outside the baggage claim exit and guide you to the comforts of our transfer vehicle that will bring you to your hotel for check-in, to rest and to refresh. And you will have to take care of your own meals.

Day 3 Guangzhou
Enjoy the City Tour in Guangzhou which is the capital city of Guangdong Province in Southeast China. A major South China Sea port, it is China's southern gateway to the world as well as a hub city of the Belt and Road Initiative.2024 Beautiful China Tour opening ceremony and welcome dinner will be host in the evening

Day 4 Guangzhou-Zhengzhou
Today we will take a domestic flight from Guangzhou to Zhengzhou. Upon arrival, our local guide will meet and greet you to escort you for lunch and then drive to  Dengfeng. The rest day will be on your own to explore the city.

Day 5 Dengfeng
Today we will start the Shaolin Martial Arts learning in Local Martial Arts School(2-hour Class each in both Morning and Afternoon).

Today we will keep the Martial Arts Learning process in the Local Martial Arts School with 2-hour Class in the morning and afternoon to fulfill the day.

Day 7 Dengfeng
Today we will start our day to visit the worldwide famous Shaolin Temple. It is well known for Shaolin Kung Fu which is one of the most famous temple in the world. "Talin" Shaolin Temple Pagoda Forest, known as the "Chinese Ancient Pagoda Art Museum", preserves a total of 241 ancient pagodas and two modern pagodas from 689 to 1803 AD. It is the oldest existing ancient pagoda in China. The largest group of towers. The levels of towers generally range from 1 to 7, with a maximum height of 15 meters. The shapes include square, rectangular, hexagonal, circular, columnar, cone, bottle, trumpet, etc. The era went through dynasties such as Han, Wei and Qing dynasties, covering two thousand years. The time span is extremely long and there are many types of buildings. In the evening, we will arrange to enjoy the wonderful Shaolin Martial Arts Performance-Shaolin Zen Music Ceremony which is the world's largest live mountain performance, with a total investment of 350 million yuan and a performance project investment of 115 million yuan. Ranked first among the "Five Most Beautiful Live Performances" in the country, it has become the leading live performance in China.

Day 8 Dengfeng – Luoyang
Today we will depart for Luoyang for experiencing the Intangible Cultural Journey of the Tang and Song Dynasties.

Tang Sancai is a treasure of ancient Chinese ceramic firing technology. Its full name is Tang Dynasty Sancai Glazed Pottery. It is a low-temperature glaze that was popular in the Tang Dynasty. The glaze colors of pottery include yellow, green, white, brown, blue, black and other colors, and yellow, green and white are the main colors, so people are used to calling it San Cai. Tang Sancai is a treasure of ancient Chinese ceramic firing technology. Its full name is Tang Dynasty Sancai Glazed Pottery. It is a low-temperature glaze that was popular in the Tang Dynasty. Then we will visit the Luoyi Ancitent City which used to be the ancient capital of thirteen dynasties. Strolling through the ancient city of Luoyi, we will see the stacked eaves, city walls, ancient courtyards, old trees, etc., It is a truly enchanting place! The pavilions, bridges, and flowing water create such a serene atmosphere. And with Wenfeng Pagoda, Confucian Temple, and Tuoling Palace, Luoyang's rich history and culture are beautifully reflected.  Exploring Tiantian Mingtang,  as the ancient capital of the Sui and Tang Dynasties, the ruins of Luoyang City have buried royal stories for thousands of years.Plus, we've got something special planned - a Hanfu and Tang Tea Experience! Picture yourself immersing in the ancient art of tea-making, appreciating, smelling, and savoring tea, all while delving into the millennia-old tea ceremony culture of the Tang Dynasty. And not to forget, let's craft our own Luoyang palace lanterns, honoring the legacy of craftsmen from centuries past. It's going to be an unforgettable journey through time and culture!

Day 9 Luoyang
Today We will explore deeply around Luoyang by visiting the Longmen Grottoes, the White Horse Temple and the Luoyang Museum.

The Longmen Grottoes, along with the Mogao Grottoes in Dunhuang and the Yungang Grottoes in Datong, are esteemed as the three major grottoes in China. Carved primarily during the Northern Wei Dynasty and the Wu Zetian period of the Tang Dynasty, the Longmen Grottoes boast over 2,300 cave niches, 100,000 statues, and 300,000 words of inscriptions after more than 400 years of meticulous carving. Among these, the Fengxian Temple Grottoes, excavated during the Wu Zetian period, stand out as the largest and most renowned. Inside, the Buddha statues exhibit graceful, elegant shapes with expressive faces and finely detailed clothing, showcasing clear lines and vivid pleats.

Located 12 kilometers east of the old city of Luoyang, Henan Province, the White Horse Temple sits with Mang Mountain to the north and the Luo River to the south. Established in the 10th year of Yongping during the Eastern Han Dynasty, it was the first temple built after Buddhism was introduced to China in the year 68. With its founding, the concept of "monastic monasteries" spread throughout China, earning it the title of the birthplace of Chinese Buddhism. Plans for expansion aim to increase its area by 6.5 times, making it the largest Buddhist temple in China.

The Luoyang Museum offers a glimpse into China's rich cultural heritage. Notable exhibits include the "Bronze Jue with Nipple Pattern" from the Xia Dynasty, the "Bronze Tripod with Staggered Gold and Silver" from the Warring States Period adorned with intricate gilding and silver work, and the "Clay Human Face Statue" from the Northern Wei Dynasty, which despite losing its original color to fire, still retains its beauty. Additionally, the museum showcases the brightly colored and uniquely shaped three-color lanterns and horses from the Tang Dynasty, each embodying the spirit of Buddhist art and the progressive style of the Tang Empire, offering a vivid experience of Luoyang's ancient history and culture.

Day 10 Luoyang-Xi'an
After breakfast,  we will assemble and take a high speed bullet Train to Xi'an which used to be the ancient Capital. The tour guide will greet and pick you up at the train station and escort you to the hotel for check in and have a lunch after.

In the afternoon, we will visit the Xi'an Jiaotong University which is the university is part of Project 211, Project 985, and the Double First-Class Construction in China.
Here's the schedule for the activities planned:
     
14:15: Research tutor meeting at Xi'an Jiaotong University.
14:30 - 15:30: Visit to Xi'an Jiaotong University.
15:40 - 15:50: Movie viewing at famous schools.
15:50 - 16:40: Robot Competition: Students will form teams to participate in a robot competition, experiencing the practical application of robotics and gaining insights into the principles behind them.
16:50 - 17:10: Artificial Intelligence Popularization Lecture: This session will cover the scientific research process of bionic robots, their working principles, scenario applications, and provide an understanding of artificial intelligence.
17:10 - 17:30: Hands-on experience in making bionic robots.
17:30 - 18:00: Summary of the day's classes and activities.
18:30 - 19:30: Dinner.

After dinner, the group will assemble and drive back to the hotel to rest.

Day 11 Xi'an
Enjoy a delicious breakfast at the hotel. Then we will prepare for a full cultural immersion by changing into gorgeous Tang-style suits in the hotel room. The Tang dynasty is known for its vibrant culture and elegant fashion, so dressing in Tang-style attire will set the tone for an authentic experience. The day can continue with various activities that showcase Chinese culture, history, and traditions. Visiting "Chang'an Twelve Hours", where you will immerse yourself in the culture of the prosperous Tang Dynasty through themed neighborhoods inspired by the drama "Chang'an Twelve Hours". Enjoy special catering, artistic check-ins, promotional experiences, entertainment, and social interaction activities to fully experience life in the Tang Dynasty. Then visit "North Square of The Giant Wild Goose Pagoda", Asia's largest Tang culture-themed square. Admire the landmark building of Xi'an, the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, which was where the eminent monk Xuanzang translated scriptures during the Tang Dynasty. Experience the perfect blend of ancient Tang Dynasty charm and modern technology.

In the afternoon, we will drive to lintong and visit the Terracotta Warriors and Horse. Let us Explore the eighth wonder of the world, the Qin Shi Huang Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum. This museum comprehensively displays the great achievements of Qin Shi Huang Zheng. After that , visit the Terracotta Warriors Replica Factory to immerse oneself in the rich history and culture! Creating your own terracotta warriors and horses through a do-it-yourself experience is not only fun but also educational. Understanding the techniques and processes used in the production of these ancient artifacts can provide valuable insights into the craftsmanship of ancient civilizations.xploring the mystery behind the production of terracotta warriors and horses from two thousand years ago adds a layer of intrigue to the experience. Day 12 Xi'an

After Breakfast,  we will gather together and drive to exploring Jiuwei Mountain in Yanxia Town offers a fantastic opportunity to delve into the geology and unique landforms of the region. Learning about loess gullies and plateaus provides insights into the natural processes that have shaped the landscape over time. It's a chance to appreciate the beauty and complexity of the earth's formations while gaining a deeper understanding of the local environment. And we will also experience the characteristic cave dwelling architecture in Guanzhong is a fascinating glimpse into the region's history and culture. These traditional dwellings offer insights into the ways in which people have adapted to their surroundings over generations. Participating in interesting folk activities with children adds a lively and playful dimension to the experience. Whether it's flying kites, playing traditional games, or engaging in arts and crafts, there's a sense of joy and camaraderie that comes from sharing these experiences with young ones. It's a reminder of the importance of passing down traditions and creating lasting memories with the next generation.

Yuanjiacun, nestled in Liquan, Xianyang, is truly a gem showcasing the essence of Guanzhong's traditional folk life and culinary heritage. Its antique streets, adorned with gray bricks and tiles, offer a picturesque glimpse into the region's rich cultural tapestry.As you wander through this quaint village, you'll find yourself transported back in time, surrounded by traditional workshops that have been integral to the region's identity for generations. From the cooking oil workshop to the cloth workshop, from vinegar production to tea blending, each establishment embodies a piece of Guanzhong's history and craftsmanship.

In the evening, we will appreciate the national intangible cultural heritage of Qin Opera which is originating from the Shaanxi province, Qin Opera, also known as Bangzi Opera due to its historical use of jujube wooden bangzi accompaniment, holds a significant place in Chinese opera history. Its early performances were characterized by simplicity, roughness, boldness, and exaggeration, reflecting a rich flavor of life and skillful storytelling. As Qin Opera evolved and spread throughout the country, it influenced various regional opera styles and directly contributed to the development of Bangzi Opera. After watching the performance, we will have an exciting opportunity to Interact with the cast and immersing ourselves  in Qin Opera culture i to gain firsthand insights into this traditional art form.

Day 13 Xi'an
After breakfast, we will ride a bike to visit the city wall, one of the largest and most complete ancient military city buildings in the world. As you traverse the massive fortifications, you'll not only marvel at the architectural grandeur but also immerse yourself in the rich history and cultural heritage of Xi'an. Then we will visit the Xi'an Bell and Drum Tower Square which is a magnificent cultural landmark that embodies the rich history and heritage of the ancient city of Xi'an. Situated at the crossroads of four streets, it serves as a bustling hub of activity and a focal point for both locals and visitors. The next stop will be  the 
Muslim Street, Strolling through the food area, the buildings on both sides of the road imitate the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and the restaurants and utensils are all run by the Muslims, with strong halal characteristics. Walking around the block, you can see ethnic costumes, handicrafts, halal food, restaurants and Hui snack bars. Free time at Muslim Street and taste authentic Xi'an specialties at own expense. We will also visit Xi'an museum to enhance our experience.  The Small Wild Goose Pagoda is one of the few Tang Dynasty brick pagodas with dense eaves preserved in the Tang Dynasty. Based on the display of cultural relics from past dynasties, the Xi'an Museum highlights the changes in the history of Xi'an's ancient capital building and the wisdom of the ancient working people. A micro-class teaching will be held under the leadership of the instructor.
