Is This Trip Right for You?

This is an active trip. Our tour group covers a lot of ground each day, and we spend two to three hours on our feet during tours. The pace is fast. We have many early mornings and long bus rides necessary to cover the territory. Some of our tours require walking over uneven surfaces or up and down steep slopes or steps. This tour is not recommended for people who have difficulty walking. This is a Group Tour program. For more information, please consult with our travel advisors.

Day 1 Depart for Guangzhou, China
Depart for Guangzhou, China. Take a flight to Guangzhou and start your 2024 trip to beautiful China!

Day 2 Arrive in Guangzhou, China
Upon arrival in Guangzhou, our tour representative will meet you outside the baggage claim exit and guide you to our transfer vehicle that will bring you to the hotel for check-in, to rest and to refresh. You will have to take care of meals on your own.
Overnight: Guangzhou

Day 3 Guangzhou
Enjoy the City Tour in Guangzhou which is the capital city of Guangdong Province in Southeast China. It is a major seaport in South China, and China's southern gateway to the world as well as a hub city of the Belt and Road Initiative.

Later, you will join 2024 Beautiful China Tour opening ceremony and welcome dinner will be host in the evening. It will be a wonderful opportunity for domestic students and overseas students pairing together for talent shows and gift exchanges and cross-cultural understanding, friendship, and collaboration.

Day 4 Guangzhou-Chengdu
Today you will take a domestic flight to Chengdu and have a lunch upon arrival. Then we will visit  Taikoo Li which is most popular city walk area and a landmark in Chengdu. Across the road, there is the IFS International Financial Center, an area with many high-rise buildings, where the famous giant panda is located. The giant panda also has a name called "I Am Here", which is more about conveying the concept of public welfare. It was designed by the famous artist Lawrence Argent.

Day 5 Chengdu-Dujiangyan
Today you will visit the Giant Panda National Park located in Dujiangyan, which is the only scientific research institution in China that focuses on giant panda disease prevention, control and wild rescue. You will start the panda volunteer journey from there, including changing the clothing and receiving the work badges. After safety training, you will officially become the volunteers to serve the giant pandas by cleaning the panda enclosure, preparing the bamboo, watching the nursery, feeding the pandas and observing the pandas. After lunch, you will watch panda science documentary video and create a nest for a panda by yourselves. After all the activities, the international volunteer certificate will be issued to you.

Day 6 Dujiangyan-Wolong
Today you will head for the Chinese Giant Panda Reserve in Wolong and continue your volunteer journey there by taking care of the giant pandas. Wolong Chinese Giant Panda Reserve is a collection of giant panda feeding, breeding, research, wild training and reintroduction research, as well as a public world-class giant panda research center, integrated education and high-end scientific observation. After safety training, you will start cleaning the panda enclosure, and then prepare fresh bamboo, feed the pandas close under the guidance of the nursery. After Lunch, you will create a nest for a panda. After all the activities, you will receive the international volunteer certificate.

Day 7 Wolong
Day 7 is the last day of your volunteer experience for pandas in Wolong. You will also start it with safety training after changing clothes. You will clean the panda enclosure, prepare fresh bamboo, get close to feed the pandas under the guidance of the nursery. After Lunch, you will create a nest for a panda. After all the activities, the international volunteer certificate will be issued.

Day 8 Wolong – Chengdu
Today you will hike into the wild giant panda habitat to experience the living environment of wild giant pandas and obtain an in-depth understanding of their living habits. Popularize forest vegetation knowledge and explain how to track the footprints of giant panda companion animals. Practical installation of infrared cameras in the field.

Day 9 Chengdu-Jiuzhaigou
Today you will head for Songpan Ancient City, an important border town with a history of thousands years and then visit Jiuzhaigou Tibetan Home to experience making tea around the stove, experience the modern lifestyle and eating habits of the Tibetans, and understand the life and personality characteristics of the Tibetan people.

Day 10 Jiuzhaigou
After breakfast, we will keep exploring the Jiuzhaigou Valley, the fairyland on the earth, also known as the "beautiful fairy tale world". The scenery is unparalleled and magnificent. It can be said that "the dust cannot bear to stain the deep valleys, Yaochi, and the sky".

Day 11 Jiuzhaigou -Chengdu
After breakfast, you will visit Dujiangyan Scenic Area and learn the Dujiangyan Water Conservancy Project, which dates back nearly 2,300 years and it is the best-preserved ancient water conservancy project in China. It cleverly makes use of the natural topography and curved flow patterns of the Minjiang River's mouth. The trinity effectively solves the problems of water diversion for irrigation, flood discharge and sand discharge, forming a scientific and complete automatic drainage and irrigation system, giving birth to the "Land of Abundance" with fertile fields thousands of miles away.

Day 12 Chengdu

After breakfast, you will gather together and deeply explore the capital city of Sichuan-Chengdu, the land of abundance.

Kuanzhai Alley is the only remaining ancient Qing Dynasty street in Chengdu. It consists of three parallel old-fashioned urban streets, named Kuan Alley, Narrow Alley and Jing Alley, and the courtyard complex between them. You will go there and drink tea, have hotpot, and experience the leisure life of Chengdu.

Du Fu Thatched Cottage, as the former residence of Du Fu, a famous poet from Tang Dynasty when he lived in Chengdu. Encounter the gift of time for thousands of years and feel the poetic feelings accumulated by culture.


The People's Park, established in 1911, has evolved into a beloved recreational spot where locals gather to socialize, enjoy tea, and engage in card games with friends. As part of our itinerary, you'll make a special stop at the Heming Tea House within the park. Here, amidst the tranquil surroundings, you'll have the opportunity to savor a cup of tea, delve into a good book, and bask in the warmth of the sun. It's a chance to immerse yourselves in the leisurely pace of life embraced by the people of Chengdu, experiencing the joy of their "slow life" culture firsthand.

Day 13 Chengdu

Following breakfast, you are going to embark on a journey to Leshan where you'll have the opportunity to marvel at the majestic Leshan Giant Buddha. Carved during the Tang Dynasty, this  sculpture took an astounding 90 years to complete. Standing tall at approximately 70 meters, it holds the distinction of being the largest stone-seated Maitreya Buddha in existence. Recognized for its cultural significance, the Leshan Giant Buddha has been honored as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1996. During your visit, you'll arrange for a special cruise ride to fully appreciate the grandeur of the Leshan Giant Buddha, allowing us to witness it entirely while immersing yourselves in the remarkable blend of human craftsmanship and natural beauty.

Day 14 Chengdu-Home
After breakfast, you'll take transportation to the airport based on your scheduled flight time. and end the wonderful journey.
