Welcome to Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK), the 2nd busiest airport in the world by passenger traffic. You will be greeted by our tour guide and transferred to check in at your luxurious hotel where you are at your leisure to relax and enjoy the evening.

D3. Beijing (American Breakfast, Lunch, Special Dinner)
Beijing, the capital city, is also the second largest city in China with population of 17.4 million. Your full day tour begins at the Tiananmen Square (Gate of Heavenly Peace). It is one of the largest public squares in the world, and contains the Monument to the People's Heroes, the Great Hall of the People, the Museum of History and Revolution, and the Chairman Mao Zedong Memorial Hall (with Mao’s embalmed body). Next, you will tour the Forbidden City (Gu Gong or The Imperial Palaces), which is the imperial palace for Ming and Qing emperors for 500 years. The Third Ming Emperor YongLe moved the capital of China to Beijing in early 1400. UNESCO cited “The Imperial Palaces provide outstanding examples of the greatest palatial architectural ensembles in China”. Summer Palace is described by UNESCO as “a masterpiece of Chinese landscape garden design”. Later you can enjoy a walk along Lake Kunming. After a day-long sightseeing, it’s time to fill your stomach with a fabulous Peking Duck Banquet (Kao Ya). You’ll be served with carved crispy duck skins. Roll it up in small tortilla slice with cucumber, onion, and special sauce to give you a mouthwatering experience that you won’t forget.

D4. Beijing (AB, L, D)
The Great Wall of China(Chang Cheng), another world heritage site, is also considered to be one of the new seven wonders of the world. It is the dream destination for millions of Chinese and people around the world to fulfill the famous Chinese saying “One cannot be a successful person without a visit to the Great Wall of China”. A stone monument can be found on site with the late Chairman Mao’s inscription of the same phrase in Chinese. You can hike along the Badaling Pass of the Great Wall, where President Richard Nixon and his wife visited on February 24, 1972, during his historic journey to China. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant followed by a visit to the historic Hutong and Alley (Hu Tong) of Beijing old town. Here you can sense the many different sights and sounds of historic Beijing. You can take a walk along the World Trade Street and later watch the ‘Legend of Kungfu’ show.

the Tample of heaven

Visit the Temple of Heaven (Tian Tan), where the Emperors of Ming and Qing dynasties performed annual ceremonies of prayer to heaven for good harvest. It is also inscribed in UNESCO World Heritage list in 1998. You will see gardens and pavilions where citizens of Beijing practice their daily ritual of Tai Chi dance, classical music instruments, songs and dance, and a game of Chinese chess. Walk along the New Qianmen Street and admire the beautiful Bird’s Nest National Stadium and the Water Cube up close. Return to hotel in the afternoon, rest of the day is on your own. Dinner is on your side tonight.

D6. Beijing/Lhasa (AB, In-flight Meal, D) Morning flight
Pick up from Airport and transferred to airport for our flight to Lhasa. Lhasa is called ‘City of Sunshine', elevates over 12000 ft, with very thin air. You’re transferred to hotel to acclimatize yourself to the high altitude. Oxygen tanks are available for purchase in your hotel in case of needs.

the Potala Palace

Built in the 17th century, the Potala Palace took 7,000 workers and 1,500 artists and craftsmen more than 50 years to build the adjoining White and Red Palaces. It is the largest lamasery in the world. Walking along Barkhor Bazaar, we have the opportunity to experience the Tibetan culture and buy colorful ethnic handicrafts.

The Jokhang Temple
D8. Lhasa (AB, L, D)
We take a full day tour to the 1,300-year-old Jokhang Temple , where we are likely to see Buddhist pilgrims making clockwise circuits on their hands and knees in reverence to one of Tibet 's most sacred sites. Thousands of yak-butter candles flicker inside beneath the enlightened gaze of the golden Jowo Sakyamuni, the 7th-century Buddha statue that the temple was built to house. Sera Monastery features the largest Tsokchen (main assembly hall) in town, it was built to house precious gifts from the Emperor to one of Je Tsongkhapa's disciples.

The Ancient City Wall
D9. Lhasa/Xian (AB, L, D) Afternoon flight
Visit a local Tibetan family-Visiting a local Tibetan's family is one of the best parts of a Tibet tour because it is the best way for visitors to get a better understanding of local Tibetan's lifestyles. Friendly host will feast you with typical Tibetan food! Later in the day, we board a flight to Xian, which is the starting point of the historic Silk Road. We drive by and stop on the Ancient City Wall and admire the fantastic sights.

The Terra Cotta Warriors
D10. Xian (AB, L, SD)
Xian, the former capital of China and enjoys a rich 5000 year old history. In 221 BC, Qin Shi Huang unified China and became its first emperor. When he died, an entire Terra Cotta Army was constructed to be buried along with the emperor. It was uncovered serendipitously in 1974 by farmers, and then became one of the century's great archeological discoveries. We will visit the Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses Museum, followed with a stop at the Bell Tower. Thereafter, we enjoy an Imperial Dumpling Banquet and shortly after watch the world famous Tang Dynasty Stage Show.

The acrobatic show
D11. Xian/Shanghai (AB, In-flight Meal, D) Afternoon flight
Finish up our tour in Xian with a visit to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Fly to Shanghai in the afterward, visit the famous Bund (Wai Tan). Shanghai is divided by the Huang Pu River into eastern and western sections. Modern mega high rises are seen on the eastern side while traditional European style architecture may be seen on the western side. The Bund is a five-block riverfront promenade with many of Shanghai's banks and trading houses. You will enjoy the world famous Acrobatic Show tonight.

D12. Shanghai (AB, L, SD)
Shanghai is a shopping haven, it is well known for varieties for many novelty items. Today, the city tour starts with a visit to Shanghai Old Street (Cheng Huang Miao). You can also experience the bustling shopping district of Nanjing Road and People’s Square and use your bargaining skills to acquire memento for this visit. After shopping, spend some free time at Shanghai Museum. With special exhibits and a collection of 120,000 precious works of art, this has become a favorite destination for tourists and local people. You can easily spend a few hours to examine its rich and high-quality collection of ancient Chinese bronze, ceramics, painting and calligraphy. Tonight you will have local Shanghai Cuisine as farewell dinner party.
