This is an active trip. Our tour group covers a lot of ground each day, and we spend two to three hours on our feet during tours. The pace is fast. We have many early mornings and long bus rides necessary to cover the territory. Some of our tours require walking over uneven surfaces or up and down steep slopes or steps. Day 1 Depart for Seoul, South Korea
Board your international flight bound for South Korea from your select international gateway. For a more superb flight experience, you can contact us for the opportunity to upgrade your scheduled flight to a non-stop journey across the Pacific Ocean for a fee.


Day 2 Arrival in Seoul
Upon your arrival in Incheon international Airpot, you will meet your driver and be ushered to Seoul. The remainder of the day is for your rest or to explore Seoul on your own.

Day 3 Seoul
Seoul was officially named since 1945, but its history as the important city for many Korean kingdoms dated long before into the 18 B.C. Located northwest of South Korea, the city of Seoul covers an approximate radius of 9 miles and dissected in half by the Han River which was used as an ancient sea trade route to China. Today, Seoul is a modern metropolis housing nearly 10 million buzzling with manufacturing, finance, commerce, and technology amidst many historical and cultural landmarks. After breakfast, embark on a full-day tour of this modern yet ancient city of Seoul. Visit Gyeongbokgung Palace, Korean Folklore Museum, Jogyesa Temple, the Presidential Office, Ginseng Shopping Center, Jongmyo (UNESCO Heritage Site), the famous Gwangjang Market, and Bukchon Hanok Village.

Day 4 Seoul
Today is free on your own, or join in our optional program, to the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) at $145 per person.

Optional Program:Demilitarized Zone Day Tour
 
After breakfast, a half-day tour to the DMZ based on Seat-In-Coach (DMZ) will be the highlight of your day. Visit the DMZ between North Korea and South Korea. The Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) is a region on the Korean peninsula that demarcates North Korea from South Korea, and no one is permitted to tour the DMZ unless they are part of a tour. Roughly following the 38th parallel, the 150-mile-long DMZ incorporates territory on both sides of the cease-fire line as it existed at the end of the Korean War (1950–53). Visits will be conducted to include Imjingak Pavilion, Freedom Bridge, the 3rd Infiltration Tunnel, DMZ Theater, Dora Observatory, Dora Train Station, Unification Village, and Amethyst Factory. The tour will end with the drop-off at the hotel.

Day 5 Seoul, South Korea - Tokyo, Japan
Check out of the hotel before noon and meet a driver to transfer to Incheon Airport to your next destination: Tokyo, Japan!Upon your arrival in Tokyo and depending on accommodation availability at the time of booking, your hotel may either be in the city of Narita or near Tokyo Bay. Ride the free hotel bus service to check-in if the hotel is in Narita, or proceed to the Airport Limousine Bus ticketing counter at the airport to purchase your affordable Airport Limousine Bus ticket (at own expense) for the convenient ride to check-in for the latter. Your tour representative will meet and greet you at the hotel lobby.

Day 6 Tokyo
You can explore the exciting city of Japan, Tokyo on your own, or you may take on our optional Tokyo Discovery Tour (requires a collective minimum of 10 persons to operate).

Optional Program: Tokyo Discovery Tour. Visit the famous Tsukiji Market in downtown Tokyo that used to be the largest wholesale fish and seafood market in the world. Although the inner wholesale market has moved in October 2018 to another location, the surrounding colorful businesses and eateries around the market is still as uniquely vibrant as ever attracting locals and visitors from around the world. Take a stroll in the Odaiba Seaside Park (Odiaba Kaihinkoen) and try spotting the Tokyo Tower and Rainbow Bridge along the impressive Tokyo skyline – from across the metropolis on a man-made beach. You even can pose for photo-ops with a miniature Statue of Liberty replica or a full-scale Gundam robot there. Walk into the grounds of the famous Asakusa Kannon Temple (Sensoji) later. This oldest and most famous Buddhist temple in Tokyo was dedicated to Kannon Bosatsu or the Bohdisattva of Compassion, and the long street leading up to the temple door is lined with 89 stores selling many colorful and interesting gifts since the eighteenth century. The excursion shall also venture into the sleepless town of Kabukicho – an entertainment and red-light district in Shinjuku, Tokyo.

Day 7 Tokyo- Hakone-Shizuoka/Aichi
Check out of the hotel in the morning and board the tour bus for onward sightseeing at famous destination Hakone. Lunch will be on your own along one of the many pleasant rest stops or unique service areas on the highways where you can enjoy an abundance of surprising and exceptional eats and snacks. Enjoy the bird's eye view of the nearby Hakone and Lake Ashi scenic region via the Komagatake Ropeway aerial tram. Then, enjoy the picturesque view of Mount Fuji in the distance onboard a cruise on Lake Ashi, a crater lake famous for its views of the famous peak. The tour will proceed to Shizuoka, the famous Japanese capital for tea. Depending on the local traffic situation, the overnight stay may be in Shizuoka or Aichi prefecture.

Day 8 Shizuoka/Aichi - Kyoto
After breakfast, depart for Kyoto, Japan's cultural and artistic center, and the country's capital for over 1,000 years that is still quaint with the alleyways and historical architectural designs of homes and buildings in the city. Kyoto is considered the cultural capital of Japan and a major tourist destination. It is home to numerous Buddhist temples, Shinto shrines, palaces, and gardens, many of which are listed collectively by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. 

Optional Program: Kyoto Discovery Tour (Minimum of 10 persons to operate). Visit the Kinkakuji (Golden Pavilion) - a Zen temple in northern Kyoto whose top two floors are completely covered in gold leaf. It is one of the most popular buildings in Japan, attracting a large number of visitors annually; see Fushimi Inari Shrine – one of Japan's best-known Shinto shrines, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The shrine is famous for its thousands of vermilion torii gates, which straddle a network of trails behind its main buildings.

Optional Program: Full-day Tour of Nara Osaka with lunch (Minimum of 10 persons to operate). 
Today you will get a chance to visit the Kasukataisya Shrine. Kasukataisya Shrine is one of Japan's renowned Shinto shrines located in Nara. The shrine holds significant historical and cultural importance in the region. Its main hall and surrounding structures offer a glimpse into traditional Japanese architecture and religious practices. Visitors to Kasukataisya Shrine can also enjoy the serene atmosphere of the surrounding forested area. After exploring the shrine, you can take a stroll through Nara Park, where you may encounter friendly deer. Don't forget to try feeding them shika senbei, a popular activity enjoyed by visitors to the park.

Osaka Castle Park is another must-see historical site and urban park in Osaka. It is colorfully landscaped by nature. The scenery, which changes from season to season, attracts many visitors throughout the year. Although the castle park is in the center of the city, it is a place of recreation and relaxation familiar to Osakans. The Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi never fail to appeal to international visitors. Osaka's most famous shopping area is Dotonbori, with an overwhelming number of giant billboards crammed into small spaces, while the neighboring area of Shinsaibashi is bustling with rows of restaurants and clothing stores. These areas are the best choice for you when it comes to enjoying delicious street food and shopping and get close to the life of local people!

Day 10 Kyoto - Tokyo
After breakfast, enjoy your journey back to Tokyo via the Tomei Expressway with Driver. Enjoy lunch at one of the independently operated service areas en route, where you will find a great choice of Japanese or Western food. Since it takes 7 to 8 hours by road from Kyoto to Tokyo, you can opt to travel to Tokyo on the Shinkansen; Bullet Train within two-and-a-half hours, in order to enjoy more free time in Kyoto or Tokyo.

Optional Program: Extra free time in Kyoto and Japan via the Shinkansen Experience (2.5 hours). This great convenience is strongly recommended as a great experience to test-ride the Japanese high-speed train, which can travel at up to 189 mph and offers reclining seats, local refreshments, and picturesque scenery along the way.

Day 11 Tokyo, Japan-Beijing, China
Check out of the hotel before noon and ride the convenient, comfortable and affordable Airport Limousine Bus (at your own expense) to the airport. You are suggested to inquire about the transport departure schedule and the limousine bus ticket purchase information at the hotel reception. Fly to China, Upon arrival at Beijing international airport, clear the customs and immigration checkpoints and our professional tour representative will meet you outside the baggage claim exit to guide you to your hotel via the comforts of air-conditioned transfer vehicle. The remainder of the day will be at leisure.

Day 12 Beijing
At your leisure to accustom yourself to the new time zone, explore the capital city of China on your own, or join us for these optional tour programs:

Optional Tour 1: Tiananmen Square and The Forbidden City Tour with lunch at $70 per person – Get ready to be awed by the largest public square in the world and see the locals stroll and play in Tiananmen Square. Then walk to the legendary Forbidden City nearby – the palace complex of the Ming and Qing dynasties from 1420 to 1912 where Chinese emperors and their household once ruled as the power and political center. This huge palace ground covers over 180 acres in the center of Beijing city and has been touted as a UNESCO World Heritage Site with the largest collection of ancient wooden structures in the world. Feel free to roam from one end of the complex peeking into the once-home of the generations of emperors and concubines, and then exit on the other side of this vast magnificent compound. Lunch will be hosted at a local restaurant.

Optional Tour 2: Peking Duck Dinner Banquet with wine served at $40 per person – Enjoy this famous culinary dish that had been served on the imperial court menu and aptly named where it had originated – the Peking (Beijing) Duck meal is characterized by servings of deliciously roasted slices of duck skins that you will wrap with steamed rice flour pancakes together with your choice of spring onion stalks and cucumber strips dosed with sweet bean sauce. Serving with a glass of wine will make this unique culinary experience even more exquisite.

Day 13 Beijing
See the spectacular man-made structure on Earth that has been recorded as a UNESCO World Heritage Site without contest – the Great Wall of China is the longest man-made structure on the planet-spanning over 13,171 miles. Built with the aim to be a physical barrier against the nomadic enemies from the north, the many Great Walls that have been constructed by successive emperors of different feudal empires were finally linked together to become what it stands today. Hike along the Great Wall at JuYongGuan Pass and after spending some free time on your own on the Wall, the tour will proceed with an educational experience at the Jade Museum and the Traditional Chinese Medicine Center to learn about the historical significance of Chinese jade and Chinese medicine to end the day.


Optional entertainment for the night for your purchase will be the Golden Mask Dynasty Show at $55 per person – an entertainment galore with over 200 performers of Chinese dances, acrobatics, costumes, and lighting, acoustics, and effects.

Day 14 Beijing-Home
Check out of the hotel in the morning which is at your own leisure or join the morning optional tour.

Optional Tour: Temple of Heaven and Rickshaw Tour with Lunch at $85 per person – Visit the Temple of Heaven a spectacular imperial complex of religious buildings located in the southeastern part of Beijing which is also a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. Used by emperors of the last two Chinese dynasties as a sacred temple to pray for a good harvest during annual ceremonies, it houses a magnificent wooden circular building built on three layers of marble stone base completely void of any nail. You can also be amazed by the Echo Wall there that can transmit sounds over large distances from one end of the perimeter to the other. Chinese rickshaws used to be a common mode of transportation in Beijing in the old days. You can still ride in these rickshaws during your tour through narrow alleyways that connect between the high walls of traditional courtyard residences that are still being preserved under the encroaching skyline of the modern skyscrapers.

Then end of this wonderful journey and head to the airport for the flight back home.
